I don't have a problem with most of those changes, since mostly, they're just updating the graphics on the original changes to the movie... But why does Anakin's ghost have to look like young Anakin? Obi-Wan's ghost doesn't look like young Obi-Wan. You could say that young Anakin was good and old Anakin was bad... But old Anakin became good again. This makes no sense.

I think you're right, the reason behind showing a young Anakin at the end of Jedi must be to back up Obi-Wan's explanation when he said, "Your father was seduced by the Dark Side of the Force. He ceased to be Anakin Skywalker, and became Darth Vader. When that happened, the good man who was your father was destroyed. So what I told you was true. From a certain point of view." It might be better if Mr. Lucas includes that change in Episode 3, maybe show the good Anakin symbolically dying. But you're absolutely right, he becomes good again. (And with no eyebrows!) It's an unnerving change. Ick.

Yeah, but... Anakin was always bad. We see that in the first two movies. First, snotty annoying "I'll do whatever I want" Anakin, to greedy, bloodthirsty, vengeful, think-with-his-loins Anakin. He never respected anyone and always wanted to do things his way. Even though he fought alongside the other Jedi, I'll never buy that there was ever any redeeming qualities to him. I blame Shmi for bad upbringing, and for not getting him shots for that midichloridian infection. Obi Wan just said that to give Luke some fictional image of his father so he could beat the hell out of the "more machine than man" version of his pop.
